Back to Potential Port Customer

The majority of bulk liquids handled through the port of Gladstone are used by local major industries.

Caustic Soda is the port's largest bulk liquid trade and is imported through South Trees East Wharf, Auckland Point No.3 Wharf and Fisherman's Landing No.4 Wharf. Major users are Queensland Alumina Limited (alumina production), and Orica (sodium cyanide/ammonium nitrate production).

Petroleum products and LP Gas are imported through Auckland Point No.3 Wharf.

Being a multi-user facility with over 100ha of port area available for reclamation directly behind the wharf, Fisherman's Landing No.5 Wharf is the ideal location for the establishment of future bulk liquid trades.

The latest statistics for all of the port's liquid bulk trades are available in the Latest Statistics section. Detailed statistics by cargo, wharf, month, financial and calendar year are available in the Port Statistics section.

Further Information on the ports facilities for handling bulk liquids is available from our Port Information Handbook.
