CQPA maintains an open-door policy on all port operations, implementing this policy through the offering of port tours.

As part of the Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited's 'Industry Tour' initiative, CQPA is one of four major local industries providing visitors and locals with a free weekly tour of their operations.

In addition to this, CQPA regularly conducts tours for school groups, community organisations and special interest groups.

Tour participants visit Auckland Hill, Gladstone Port Central (Auckland Point and Barney Point), Gladstone Marina and RG Tanna Coal Terminal.
